  • 1953-1955 Studied photography at the State School for Art and Craftsmanship in Saarbrücken with Hannes Neuner and Otto Steinert
  • 1955-1958 Photography assistant to Otto Steinert, photography/basic apprenticeship
  • 1958-1960 Assistant in basic training with Oskar Holweck
  • 1959-1962 Member of the "Neue Gruppe Saar"
